Description: 8vo; 295pp; publisher's calico-grain green cloth; facsimile of author's signature stamped on upper cover; titling gilt-stamped on black panel on spine; first edition first printing (as denoted by Sbribner "A" on copyright). The usual fading of the cloth on the spine and edges, but a presentable copy nonetheless. Soiling at head & tail of spine, some wear on edges and corners; top corners bumped but still square; some toning to pastedown; interior clean of marks or bookplates. Original clipped dustjacket is jacket "c" of 1st printing (Grissom A.13.1.a), where the 'rear green panel does not encroach upon the print of the shortened blurb.' Wear to edges, rub marks and a 1" closed tear corrected with archival tape on back of spine.
A presentable First Edition copy of Hemingway's 2nd work of non-fiction.
